Large-Eyed Mima
For some reason when I view this gallery I can hear the mock nature-documentary narration: “Here we have a rare specimen, an absolutely beautiful Large-Eyed Mima, bathing in her natural habitat, a tumbling mountain stream. This species is often forced to compete with aggressive brown bears, who frequently fish in the same waterfalls…”

You have a great eye Bacchus. Of that stash of Photos, these two are the best, IMHO of course.
What i wouldn’t do to run across that in a mountain stream but alas, I live near the ocean and we have no mountains and very few streams.
Nobody, you may not have any mountains or streams, but surely you have a bathroom?
See, there is hope!
I think that a lot more people would spend the weekend enjoying the great outdoors if there were more Large-Eyed Mima’s running wild.
As Jerry Lee Lewis once sang: “Ain’t nuthin’ in this world, like a big-eyed girl…”
…and “The Killer”, as he was known, surely had an eye for the young ladies….
She does look like a lovely, wild, primal thing in that first picture- like a doe frozen for the briefest second before leaping away.
The Large-Eyed Mima doesn’t have to compete with the Brown Bear, he willingly hands over the fish for a little num-num time.
