One Handed Typing
Over at the Agony Booth Martini Shark recaps a 3D soft-core porn film made in 1969 called The Stewardesses and has the following epiphany:
[D]id you know that “stewardesses” is the longest word in the English language that can be typed with only one hand?
Please don’t ask me how I figured that one out.
I won’t ask. Promise.

I thought it was exstewardesses?
Guy, who types with two fingers
Ha. Conventions differ, but I consider that word to require a hyphen from the other side of the keyboard, thusly: ex-stewardesses.
Um. Oh. Well. Is “sexstewardesses” a word?
Guy, thinking they might serve the premium cabin
Wow, unless they’ve really improved the service since the last time I flew first class… no.
But a very nice try. I bet you are sheer hell to play Boggle against.
I’ll be sure to give googling stewardesses a try while discovering appropriate uses for the idle right hand.
Sorry, “aftercataract”, “devertebrated” and “tesseradecade” are all one character longer and can be typed with the left hand.
The word “phyllophyllin” is also one character longer, and can be typed with the right hand.
I must remember to make a note of the word “phyllophyllin,” in order that I might use it more often in casual conversation.
