Her “Elemental Sex Appeal” Is Protruding
A 1948 issue of Night And Day magazine featured an article about the fashion show put on for the amusement of attending wives at the annual convention of the California Bankers’ Association. As you can see, this photo was captioned “Real California wind ruffles locks of model, brings out elemental sex appeal”:
Nipples, gentlemen. The word you were searching for is “nipples”.

Well, they did use the word “sex” in the sentence, which is a good start :-)
All the fuss about nipples amazes me. When you think that almost everyone, male or female, has two of their own I don’t see why the sight of a nipple should cause harm to anyone.
Not sure what fuss you’re talking about. Who suggested that seeing these nipples was harmful? So confused.
I’m thinking abut the fuss generally, nt n yur blog. The to-do abut Janice Jackson’s “wardrbe malfunction”, fr instance.
Ah, fair. That example takes me back! But you’re not wrong.
I believe in my Jr. High school “sex ed” class, the entire chesticle area was referred to as a female’s “secondary sex characteristics”, even though at the time, (at age thirteen), they were rather primary in my book…
She looks rather delicious by the way, so thanks for sharing Bacchus!
(They should use that fabric more often on clothing for females.
It’s very flattering…)
This problem about nipples being visible isn’t new. I have a book about the history of swimming as an activity. There is a very short chapter about skinny-dipping and it is illustraated with a picture of Virginia Woolf and a man. She is sitting on a rock, facing the camera, and her triangle of pubic hair is visible but ringlets from her head have been artfully arranged so that t5hey cover her nipples.
Am I wrong in thinking tthat the Starbuck’s logo had nipples at first?
The original Starbucks logo did indeed have a mermaid holding her twin tails (widely spread apart), by her “ankles” as it were…
She had well defined breasts with nipples…
The logo has gone through several permutations…
