On Set Advocates For Porn Performers
This is interesting: the studio that produces the porn-for-women site Sssh.com and the venerable BDSM website Wasteland has posted a very specific bill “On-Set Policies And Best Practices” that includes an extra layer of protection for performer consent, going beyond anything I’ve ever heard of before: an on-set advocate for performers.
When you shoot with us, you will have an on-set advocate at all times. Regardless of what was pre-negotiated, your advocate will call “pause” if you exhibit signs of being distressed, uncomfortable or if the advocate is concerned for any reason. Shooting will only resume after a check-in with you, and after both you and the advocate consent to continuing.
In a recent Buzzfeed article, Sssh.com director/producer Angie Rowntree explains the thinking behind the new policies document:
“For us that meant taking our old ‘on-set policies’ and adding to them the things we’ve been doing for the last few years to make sure our set was safe, that consent was clear and we were transparent,” Angie Rowntree told BuzzFeed News. “Bottom-line: our goal is for everyone to have a fantastic experience, feel like part of a team and at the end of the day, I want performers to say, ‘I want to shoot with them again.'”

To be honest I was not shy about having it done but I had seen the youtube clips of guys getting it done and the endless screams of pain. I was worried about the pain that’s for sure. So my first visit was with a girl waxing me. Will I get an erection? (Which is suppose to help with a waxing, so I have read on-line). No erection, the fear cured that. So I popped up on the table, it felt very normal and the lady explained she was using wax followed by removal with strips. Its worth noting that you do have a bit of work to do by holding your meat stretched in different positions so all the angles can be covered with the wax. After waxing it felt amazing, the first time is so, so good. You just want to test drive it as much as possible…
