Savitha Bhabhi, The Movie

Word out of Bollywood is that they are turning Savitha Bhabhi (see here and here) into a live action movie:

The film interpretation will eschew physical antics for a series of flirtatious escapades between the eponymous actor and a series of friends, acquaintances and tradesmen – behind the back of her oblivious husband.

Mahendra Dhariwal, the film’s producer, keen to allay censors fears said of the flick: “Her husband’s friends try to woo her, she encourages them because she wants their money. It’s a comedy, there’s not much sex involved, a bit of exposure, but it’s not pornographic.”

Bad Movie, Good Company

I suppose I’d rather see this at my local multiplex than the usual idiots sending and receiving 300 text messages:

Morning Friendliness, Delayed

The things that a sleeping mind will do:

So I just tried to wake him up with a blow job and he literally touched the top of my head and said snooze button.

A Girl And Her Pillow

I’ve heard it said that sometimes a pillow is all a girl wants or needs. Well, here’s the Rule 34 confirmation:

Friendly Governor Reagan

I’m too young for Paul Krassner’s The Realist to mean a lot to me; I know it primarily as the place where the famous and delightful Wally Wood Disneyland Memorial Orgy poster was first published. I’m too young to have seen the zine when it was first being published, and too old to have fully internalized (yet) what it means to live in the internet age, where long-gone ancient ephemera tends to rise again, like the phoenix, in beautiful digital form.

And that’s exactly what’s happened with The Realist — there now exists The Realist Archive Project, making available the complete run of The Realist for web viewing.

There’s a lot to see. But this oh-so-innocent photo of Ronald Reagan (back in his California governor days) made me guffaw:

That’s The Spirit!

I imagine (I hope?) that the “cocks” she’s encouraging are a sports team. Even if so, you have to admire her cheerleader zeal:

Sex “Research” Stories That Aren’t

Way back in 2002 when I started this sex blog, I imagined that many of my posts might point to online news stories about sex. There weren’t so many sex blogs back then, and online writing about sex from “mainstream” journalists was still rare enough to be notable.

What I quickly discovered, though, was that these stories were generally crap, especially when they pretended, badly, to be based on “the latest research”. Scientists usually don’t do sex well, and reporters usually don’t do science well, so a reporter’s view of sex research usually turns out to be hideous insulting nonsense and tripe. (Exceptions do happen. But man, you gotta dig for ’em.)

Pretty soon, it got to the point where I don’t even read journalism about sexual science. The noise level is too high; it’s all spam and no eggs.

Therefore I am amused to discover two articles in two days that discuss the whys and wherefores when it comes to bad reporting about bad sex research. This morning it was Thomas Roche blogging at Violet Blue’s Tiny Nibbles; yesterday it was How To Spot an Internet Sex Research Hoax at The Sexademic.

If you still read “Newest Research about Sex Reveals…” stories, you’ll want to read these, too.
