Naughty Unicorns

It’s apparently naughty unicorn week on Boing Boing. The latest two links leave me speechless, so I’m just going to point you at them. Er, enjoy?

Hotter Than Barbarella

Aphrodite blogs:

I have a soft spot in my heart for Barbarella. I know it’s cheesy by today’s standards, and Jane Fonda’s politics don’t endear her to alot of people, but that movie is just naughty-sexy-fun to me. And her costumes? Still beautiful.

When I saw this painting it reminded me of Barbarella, but brought into the 21st century:

Metal Nouveau by Marcus Gray

So lovely! The painting is called “Metal Nouveau”, and it’s by Marcus Gray (the link will take you to the full-size image). His web site has several other paintings like this, plus lots in other styles, some sort of cartoonish. Lots of sexy, hot art!

Paranoid Bloggers Shoot Selves In Foot, Film At Eleven

It happened again. Folks, being paranoid about your copyrights is not the way to get ahead in the blog world. Links and quotes are your friends.

What happened? I found a new blog that I was going to add to my blogroll and highlight in Thursday’s Sex Blog Roundup on Fleshbot. I selected a couple of sentences to use in the quote blurb on Fleshbot, and got a Javascript popup message sternly warning me:

Female Sexual Submission

As you know full well if you surf the sex blogs much, there’s a peculiar surplus of angst-ridden blogs by women who self-identify as sexually submissive. A frequent theme for the angst seems to be the tension between these women’s desires to be or to feel sexually submissive, and their desires to be fully valued as free and autonomous human beings.

It’s in that light that DTG’s trenchant observations on the difference between sexual submission and boring old acquiescence strike me as being most useful. I’ll let you click through for the bit on acquiescence, but the bit on submission is too fun not to quote:

Submission is right there in our physiology. We feel it in our bodies from the first time we get fucked. Like puppies, we roll on our backs and expose our soft bellies and breasts, spread our legs, and let you big guys have free run of our most tender parts. Not only do we submit, we wag our bums and pant joyfully and sometimes pee ourselves with excitement. Well, some of us do. Heh.

Your Printer May Be Spying On You

Have you ever used a color laser printer to print a dirty picture? Or photocopied some porn on a color photocopier? If you’re male and have had routine unsupervised access to such devices, you know you have. No point in trying to deny it.

But did you know that the spiffy new porn steaming in your output tray is secretly encoded with your printer serial number and other info that could be used to identify you?

That’s a function your government got snuck into your hardware, ostensibly to catch counterfeiters. But nobody knows what else they are using the secret markings for. If you print subversive fliers or protest literature, it might be smart to worry.

And if you want to know more, what do you do? Which machines are spying on you? And what data are they writing on your documents? Is it just color laser devices? The Electronic Freedom Foundation (EFF) is trying to find out for you. And they need help. Money is always good, but they also need more data. Details here.

Me, I don’t like the very idea of having government agents pressure tech companies into putting sneaky “features” into their products. Does your DVD burner secretly encode every disk you burn with its serial number and the name you gave Windows when you set up your email account? Does your video camera secretly encode your treasured first-person footage of your girlfriend’s cum-covered face with date, time, and the camera serial number that’s in your customer records at Best Buy? Probably not. But in a world where things like this happen, is it paranoid to wonder?

Skinny Dipping In The Qeynos Sewers

You’re doing pretty well as an artist when you can paint a girl in a pool on the street that’s good enough to inspire someone to shuck down and try to join her:

skinny-dipping on asphalt with urban street art

Art is by Julian Beever, an English pavement artist. But the real reason I posted this was to inquire of my fellow recovered Everquest addicts: Doesn’t that pool look a lot like the outside-the-gate entrance to the Qeynos Sewers?
