Catching Her Tits In The Wringer
Ever hear the phrase “Getting her tit caught in the wringer?” It’s a hundred-year-old metaphor for personal screw-up, petit clusterfuck, and entanglement. My mother used the metaphor. My mother was old enough and rural enough (and, I suspect, nudist enough) to have experienced at least the risk of the actuality. You modern rural kids may not even know what a “wringer” is, in this context. Well, here’s Titty Blog to your rescue, with a comic photographic example from half a century ago:

I’ve not heard that phrase since I was a bairn!
“Eh, you’ll right have your tit in the mangle then!”
…A nice dose of nostalgia there :D
Hey, now that you mention it, I’ve an ancient uncle who always called the electric version of the wringer “the mangler”.
It may come to surprise some of you males out there in the blogosphere, but that machine is not all that far unlike most of the mammography machines in use today. Illustrations of these torture devices can be found here:

Just ask some of your lady-friends who are subject to fibrocystic breast changes about what it feels like to have their breasts mashed in one of the x-ray devices when their mammaries are in a sensitive stage.
Most doctors smush them a LOT thinner than this photo would seem to indicate:

Ending on a questionably lighter note perhaps, is this after the “wringer” image:

Can we have some “knickers in a twist”. too?
Oh, that reminds me a lot like a mammography and the same expression on the model’s face was the same one I had when I went in for my yearly breast exam. I have to agree with Dr. Whiplash since the image reminded me of the pain a woman goes through to make sure the ‘girls’ are in working order.
