Kissing In Bondage
It’s the kiss that catches your eye at first. Only later do you notice the leather cuff and the chains:

Well, actually, I must confess it was the wig that caught my eye first…
I believe what we have here is a tooled leather bracelet on one model, and probably what is a cheap gold imitation necklace on the other gal. The photographer was either clever enough to juxtapose them, in an eye-catching way, or negligent enough to fail to notice a common photographic problem, such as the kind that depicts distracting extraneous objects in the shot, like trees that appear to be growing out of the tops of people’s heads like antlers…
I say he may have been being clever, because my guess is that photo was taken not too many years after censorship of that sort of image caused the likes of Irving Klaw and Bettie Page to quit the business. Many photographers resorted to merely suggesting bondage, in a way that I might add was rather dissatisfying.
I also say it because it is surely an image that was created a few years after Vance Packard wrote a book called “The Hidden Persuaders”, about how images were being manipulated in advertising to subtly induce desire for various merchandise or ideas in a subliminal fashion, and this image may have been from some sexy ad in a men’s magazine.
Dr. Whiplash, I fear you have managed to outclever yourself.
I wonder what it says about me that the first thing I noticed about the picture was the cuff and chain?
