More Vintage Fetish Fuel
Sure a vintage photograph like this will be fetish fuel for somebody. And if not, at least it’s proof that people have been doing, and taking pictures of, some kinky shit, for a long time. What we have here is the cropped version of a photo from the 1930s featuring a woman in a skin-tight latex outfit from which the nipple area has been removed:
If you click for the uncropped version, of course she’s wearing high heels, too.
Was it originally supposed to be art, or porn? I have no idea.
Update: Possibly a photo of Yva Richards.

From a time when men were real men, women were real women, and camel toes were REAL freaking camel toes.
A Clockwork Orange, 1930’s
Clockwork Orange’s rape scene:

Well, that’s certainly an uncanny costuming coincidence.
It’s an unfortunate outfit. And you’re right, since the invention of cameras, people have been taking sexy pics.
Could what she is holding be a piece of photographic equipment? Perhaps a box camera or a light meter? Her hair looks teens or twenties to my inexpert eye — late enough for a mass-market box camera. Perhaps the photographer handed her a piece of his equipment for a prop. Perhaps it was posed to look like an early self-shot photo. Could her finger be pushing the shutter button? Could this really be?????
She is holding the “camera” at an angle, but the picture could have been squared up when printed.
That is what MY imagination is makeing it be.
Nina Meixner of Hinsdale, Illinois wears a similar costume in her avant garde studio presentations. She is a local Hinsdale artist who produces semi-nude plays. Nothing obscene but the costume is quite similar to Nina’s.
If it is a box camera she is holding, than we have the first example of the “shoot myself in a sexy pose in the mirror” shot that so clutters Tumblr. There is truly nothing new under the Sun
You sure that’s latex not just a 1920 bathing suit with the tits cut out? Bathing suits covered a lot more back in the day.
Sure? No. But it could be both … it could be a 1920s latex bathing suit.
Actually I took the “latex” descriptor from the linked site where I found the photo. It’s not my claim, it’s theirs.
I believe the object being held is too small to be a camera of the era, but it looks a lot like a hand-held light meter to me.
Ah, that may be some sort of arousal meter…
I stared at the picture for a long time, for some reason I thought it was whipped cream and cherries. I think I will have my eyes checked.
That link in comment #3 may be dead…
