Her Enthusiastic Man
I’ve heard it said (as relationship advice) that you need to find someone who will match your energy. But I think you need a “yes, and” kind of person who can be trusted to escalate your energy in all the right ways:
Video is by PaleSeaFoam, who writes “It’s that easy to make your man smile.”

Yup yup. I laughed and laughed, this guy is so me. Just that easy indeed.
For me it is particularly funny because it comes from TikTok where there is a sort of perpetual war between little girls (self-entitled vanilla women under the age of about 27) and grown-ass women (women of any adult age, but usually 25 and up, who understand that adult relationships involve some give along with the take). The little girls spend all their time bitching about the inadequacies and general aloofness of the men in their lives while the grown-ass women post little videos like the one here that basically serve as “how to” videos on the subject all men know so well: “You won’t have any man trouble if you keep him happy, and it’s not really all that difficult.”
I remember this one grown-ass woman the algo was showing me for a few months whose feed never had anything suggestive in it. Her TikToks alternated between “watch me spend twenty minutes before bedtime making two or three cooked dishes that will keep well in a lunchbox out of simple ingredients and our leftovers from dinner, then pack them with diverse attractive pre-packaged snacks into the cooler my lineman husband will be taking off to work with when he leaves the house at four AM tomorrow for his sixteen hour shift” and “Here I am panning my phone camera around our ten-acre farmstead where I spend all day playing with my chickens and my children and my cute baby goats and my flowers and my fruit trees.” The amount of HATE she got in her comments from the little girls who couldn’t believe she was “coddling her man” by sending him off with delicious cooked lunches every day was astonishing to behold. She understood the assignment and they, very clearly, did not.
I don’t frequent TikTok, but there is a certain amount of back and forth of the type that Bacchus describes on YouTube shorts, and I have to agree! There is definitely a dividing line between those that get that being a partner in a relationship is a give-and-take, and those that want to take a lot more than they give.
That said, the guy in this video’s reaction is over-the-top and wonderful simultaneously!
