Breeding Kink? In This Economy?
Virtual YouTuber (#vtuber) BeelziBunny has a bit of a rant about the impracticality of exploring a breeding kink under the present circumstances:
As she puts it:
As a bunny myself, I understand what it means to have a breeding kink. Because the only breeding we’re doing is with a fucking condom!
Not in this economy, not in this presidency, maybe not even in this fucking lifetime! At this point, I ain’t taking the risk just because it’s hella hot in the moment! Shit, if we fuck up, do you know how expensive kids are? My budget’s on stuffed animals and sexy cosplay right now.
So while I’d love to be your little Boston cream pie, uh, you’re gonna be filling this piping bag unless you’re gonna take me to a country with free healthcare or has an amazing healthcare system for pregnant women. Otherwise, the only thing you’re piping is fucking dreams!
It’s hard to argue with any word of that.

Interesting take, but that video is so ugly it’s unwatchable.
Aside from the slow extinction of humanity due to collapsed birth rates, or the quicker extinction caused by AI run amok, I worry that beautiful, well-crafted art is becoming a thing of the past.
Future archaeologists (possibly visitors from a saner planet) won’t be staring at ancient Moai, wondering what became of the civilisation that created them, but sifting through billions of slop videos, trying to figure out how exactly we allowed this to happen.
The funny thing is, I don’t have that reaction to people’s virtual avatars at all. I don’t see “slop” — which to most people means AI — because most VTuber avatars are carefully hand-made digital artworks, as much works of craft as a furry’s fursuit. For that matter, it may surprise you to learn that that the technology substantially predates AI.
But even if a particular avatar is a pure AI artifact — and in 2026 I’m sure some virtual avatars might be — what I see first is the joy of secure pseudonymous liberatory self-expression. This is a technology that lets someone express themselves freely and privately without fear of repercussion. And to me, that’s beautiful!
Of course, at the end of the day nobody can make you find beautiful what strikes you as ugly.
