FBI Operated Child Porn Site

Have you ever noticed that a bunch of the FBI’s “we stopped a terrorist bombing” self-congratulatory post-arrest press conferences turn out to be about situations where the “bomb” was a dummy device built by the FBI and offered to the so-called bombers by an FBI plant? In many of those cases, the “bombing plot” actually turns out to have been just an “angry guy talking smack” plot until the FBI deliberately escalated the situation.

I can’t get that notion out of my head when I see a story like this one:

FBI Operated Child Porn Site to Nab Pedophiles

From the story:

Nebraska-based FBI agents seized the service, referred to only as “Website A” in a search warrant affidavit, on Nov. 16 and continued to operate it until Dec. 2, when it was shut down. A Seattle special agent told the court that the Bureau kept the site open in order to monitor messages from users. A U.S. District Court judge in Nebraska authorized law enforcement agents to track down the site’s user on Nov. 9.

While Website A operated under the arm of federal agents, its users continued to swap illicit images of children and access similar images stored on its database.

Migrating Away From Tumblr

Lots of people (including me) started bitching after I discovered that Tumblr was locking away all the adult blogs behind a robots.txt designed to make them impossible to search or archive. Dr. Faustus has actually been doing something constructive about it, by exporting the best images from his Tumblr to individual self-hosted blog posts and this very fine thumbnail gallery. He explains his motives thusly:

In May 2013 Tumblr was acquired by Yahoo, a major corporation with at best a checkered record for dealing with its acquisitions. gallery of former tumblr content now on Erotic Mad Science as self-hosted content While Yahoo executives insist that they’re not going to screw up Tumblr, their past record combined with their obvious interest in having the site generate more corporate advertising revenue off the site makes me profoundly pessimistic about its future, especially with respect to adult content. And my pessimism is shared by some of the most astute and experienced observers in the adult Internet world. I fear the coming of a day when my tumblr is simply deleted for its violation of some vague “community standard,” which deletion will take place without warning or possibility of appeal. The content that I will have worked so hard to curate will be lost. I am determined to have it not be lost, and that is why I am keeping it here on my own site that I control.

Even if this ugly day never comes, there is still a major problem with Tumblr, which is that its content is simply not searchable. Tumblr blocks access to the crawlers of search engines and the Internet archive, probably to make itself more appealing to the corporate suits who are now its overlords. To me, that is not the Internet. The Internet means openness. It means having content that people who want to find can find. And it means backups for the historical record.

I will not stand to see the content I have curated hidden – tucked away as if it were something shameful – any more than I can stand to see it lost. I intend to save at least some of it, and that is the purpose of both my “Tumblr favorites” blogging and of this thumbnail index gallery.

Stupidity, Optimism, and Little-Head Thinking

One of the things I don’t think a lot of women understand is the irrational optimism that overwhelms many men when we get to thinking with our dicks. Non-scientist idiots like me always get in trouble when we begin speculating about evolutionary biology, but I genuinely think this trait is hardwired into many men by evolution. If you make a pass at anything that moves when you’re thinking with the little head, you may get lucky more often than if you only lob reasonable propositions at willing-seeming women. Over time, the genes of men whose passes are always perceptively-judged and well-timed may fail to predominate.

Crappy pop-science that theory may well be — but the completely unfounded optimism of men asking women for sexual services on the basis of no encouragement whatsoever is hard to miss, especially on the internet where asking complete strangers is cheap and easy. To the women who have to field these bizarre importunations, the importuning men get parsed as stupid. And on an important civilized level, this behavior genuinely is stupid, being a low-success high-frequency strategy with serious reputational and social costs. But my guess is that it says more about a man’s impulse control and social skills (or lacks thereof) than it does about his cognitive intelligence.

All that is by way of speculation as to what makes this paragraph necessary to include in a guide for newbies who want to hire a dominatrix:

No, you cheap fuck, she probably doesn’t want you as her personal slave.

Before you contact a Mistress to ask if she is looking for a personal slave, look at her ad and website. Is she actively soliciting personal slaves? If she’s not, don’t bother asking.

When someone contacts me asking to be my personal slave, what they usually mean is: can you work for free? The answer is always no. I have hot guys I play with in my personal life and I don’t need you. I don’t care how helpful you think you are. If I don’t know you I don’t want you cleaning my apartment or running my errands. The fact that you are contacting a pro for free play says that you are much too stupid to be trusted with any important tasks.

Word.

“Like A Virgin” Anal Cream

It looks like femdom artist Whizzer Black has dreamed up a fantasy rebranding and repurposing for those ridiculous body-shaming alum-based “pussy-tightening” products:

The Other Side Of The Wall

What’s going on, on the other side of the wall? Something sure has Rain DeGrey’s full attention:

Rain DeGrey bifurcated by a bondage wall

Is it a man with a powerful vibrator and an insatiable forced-orgasms fetish?

Rain Degrey about to be forcibly masturbated to repeated orgasms with a powerful vibrator

Or, is it a pussy spanking that never seems to end?

painful bondage pussy spanking for Rain DeGrey

The girl in the wall never knows what’s coming next, until it starts to happen. For all she knows, there could be a whole corridor full of playful perverts lined up over there…

Pictures are from the most recent shoot at Sexually Broken. Sorry, there’s no free samples gallery available yet.

A Survivor In The Smut Business

Silent Porn Star has an exclusive interview with Irv O. Neil — a writer and editor of smut for books, magazines, movies, video, the web, and your Kindle since 1974. It looks like SPS will be doling out the interview in parts (only the first of which is up yet) but even this man’s list of all the porn jobs he’s had reads like a history of the industry. Here’s his memory of Times Square, back in the day:

Eighth Avenue near Times Square was lined with streetwalkers, some of whom were really beautiful and sexy – amazing blondes in hot pants and platform shoes. I was smitten. Strip clubs, inexpensive massage parlors, hookers and dominatrixes advertising in Screw, porn movie theaters with live shows. The Melody Burlesque with the porn stars as feature dancers and where girls danced naked in your lap for a dollar – and with its infamous “Mardi Gras,” where customers lined up to eat out the dancers at a buck a lick…

ErosBlog On Metafilter About Tumblr

I was noticing a quite a bit of extra traffic in my stats yesterday and when I tracked it to the source out of curiousity, it turns out that my recent Tumblr posts were featured in a very nice article on Metafilter:

The Digital Equivalent Of Stashing A Dirty Magazine Under Your Mattress

I don’t think ErosBlog has ever made Metafilter before, except in the comments. This time, the thread-winning comment for me is:

The robots.txt standard is not the problem; the problem is that your stuff is on a site where somebody else controls the robots.txt file.
