Adult Blogger Deathwatch
Well, today’s the big day — the day that Google has announced it will start deleting adult Blogger (blogspot.com) blogs that have any “monetization of adult content” on them. Since there’s no telling how Google defines “adult” or “monetization” and no way to predict how aggressively they will pursue this campaign, only time will tell how broad and deep the casualties will be.
Hence this post. I’m hoping to use the comments here for people to aggregate information on our losses in the sex blogging community. If you’ve lost an adult blog to Google’s deletion campaign (your own or a favorite browsing destination) please post the name, defunct link, and a few words of description in the comments.
Thanks!

This would be a good time for someone to start an adult-friendly free host. The biggest concern would be monitoring 2257 issues.
I differ; the fundamental issue is how to pay for it. There were several large networks of adult-friendly free hosts that have failed in recent years; web advertising in general (and adult web advertising in particular) ain’t what it used to be.
Has Erectus bailed out? Or has he taken your advice and gone elsewhere? His tumblr blog hasn’t been updated for a month.
Thanks
Zero reports of shut down blogs here. Was it all a feint by Google?
Unlikely, Pat. Maybe the algorithm didn’t get turned on before the long holiday, maybe they plan to let the hue and cry die down before they start disappearing blogs. Apparently they didn’t have a big “Apocalypse Queue” waiting to be implemented when the deadline expired, but more than that, we won’t know until blogs start poofing.
A list so far of ones I am aware of
http://thisishi...o.uk/
http://boobaloo...o.uk/ (I know they have already moved to self Hosting)
http://llellsee....com/
and it would seem that this past weekend WordPress had a little hissy fit and canned a whole load of blogs for violating T & C’s specifically for ‘posting images of a pornographic nature that show genitalia’ (if you wish to see a copy of the message that they only send to the blogger when they contact them then let me know)
http://mysexlif....com/
http://littlegi....net/
http://catrinal...s.com
This is just a selection, there are others unfortunately I did not keep all the url’s. I am finding them because most of these people have submitted to e[lust] at some point or other and the link checker seems to be currently working over time and flagging up all the dead links.

Molly, do yes please send the WordPress.com email. I haven’t been following that story as closely — since they’ve always been adult-hostile so far as I know — but I may have a use for it. Thanks!
Google+ just killed my account because I thoughtlessly put a link to my politicially sexy Google adult blog on Google+, not realizing that Google+ is totally against the ebbul pornography that has ruined this nation’s moral fiber, etc. etc. I wouldn’t have given a shit ordinarily … I was trying to give people who’ve enjoyed the 1,500 posts I’ve placed on Youtube, mostly on political topics, a chance to know more about me if they wanted to. You know, social media and all. And with my Google+ going down, so did my Youtube account. And that’s annoying mostly because all my fave videos and the videos I’ve posted to Youtube have disappeared. None of the videos I’ve posted to have ever been complained about, but apparently that one little link brings the whole thing down.
So I guess the warning is, don’t get too invested in Youtube now that Google owns it. If Google pins the EVVUL PORNAGRAPHY tag on you, your Youtube account is history.
And the irony is, my Google blogger site is still up (see link). For now. In fact, the Google Blogger pornocalypse never happened. Weird.
