Fetish Fuel, Cosplay Edition

When this went by on The Big Bang Theory my instant thought was “Fetish fuel for more people than Sheldon!”

Mayim Bialik as Amy Farrah Fowler in her Star Trek starfleet uniform as she attempts to harvest Sheldon by providing him with perfectly-tailored fetish fuel

And then I promptly forgot about it, instead of hunting down a still online and blogging about it. But thanks to the Miracle of Tumblr, somebody else did it for me, with the following commentary:

Damn straight you would. And it would be amazing, educational (for both of you) and after she poured close to 30 years of sexual frustration out on you, used you as a stunt dick for 3 days of unbridled, kinky, cosplay passion — she’d give you a quick nod, hand you a written analysis and show you to the door.

Speaking of which, did anybody see the recent episode of Collection Intervention, the one about the guy with the secretive Catwoman collection and fetish? Did anybody notice that his cute wife would have made an awesome Catwoman, and speculate (as I did) that it’s probably why he fell for her in the first place? If she only knew and was willing to play along (sadly there was no hint in the show that he’d ever even tried to get her into a costume, not even on Halloween) she would absolutely own him.

First Time Anal Sex

A while back The Redheaded Slut had a new experience:

So I had anal sex for the first time this past weekend. I want to do it again. And again. And again with a dildo in my cunt. And again with hair-pulling and rope.

Yes, I enjoyed it. It was such a familiar, yet entirely new experience that I’m struggling to put it into words. There was an intensity of sensation, coupled with a sexy boyfriend saying dirty, filthy things to you as he fucks your ass…

Seriously. This should be happening every morning.

Windows 8: Not Porn Friendly

This article here talks about the porn policies of all the major consumer-oriented cloud data services, revealing industry-wide unwillingness to give clear answers to simple questions like “can I store my porn on your service? And if not, why not?”

For me the eye-opener was Microsoft, however, which has draconian anti-porn policies (you’re not allowed to store “nudity of any sort” on their SkyDrive service). “Fine”, I’m thinking, “because I don’t want cloud data services anyway.” And then I saw this bit:

SkyDrive is connected to your Microsoft account. If Microsoft suspends your SkyDrive, you also lose access to any connected Outlook or Office software or Windows Phone and Xbox 360 devices. This incredibly strict code of conduct could end up cutting off other services you depend on.

And another problem: Microsoft is pushing you to use SkyDrive in Windows 8 and Office 2013. SkyDrive is deeply embedded into the Windows 8 OS.

Depending on what “deeply embedded” turns out to mean in practice, this could mean that if you work in an adult-oriented industry, you’re be unable to safely use a Windows box once Windows 8 achieves widespread distribution. Awesome!

Rough Sex For Whores: WTF?

This story makes me shake my head:

At one point the subject turned to sex and the difference between making love and fucking, and gentle and rough sex.

Mr. Suit was quite opinionated and said he thought that only whores liked rough sex.

After noticing that I had been kind of quiet for a bit he turned to me, put his hand on my leg, and asked me what was wrong.

As I gently but firmly removed his hand, I told him “ummmm, nothing’s really wrong, I just think that you spent a lot of money tonight taking a whore out to dinner, and she’s not gonna fuck you.”

The obvious part is, dude shot himself down by being fetish-negative and judgmental about rough sex before he took the elementary precaution of finding out how his dinner companion felt about it. Stupid!

Hardly the first time, though, that a man’s arrogant assumptions cost him in lost nookie opportunities.

But in my book, he committed double-extra-stupidity by using “whore” pejoratively. It’s one of those words — like “cunt” when it’s used as an insult — the utterance of which implies a huge package of the speaker’s bad attitudes toward women in general. Definitely not a word to trot out when you’re wining-and-dining!

Dan Savage, Memetic Engineer

I wonder if there are genius grants for memetic engineers? Because Dan Savage deserves one. His ability to distill an important concept down into a phrase and then inject it into our collective consciousness like — no, on second thought, let’s eschew simile here — astonishes me every time I see him do it. From redefining “Santorum” years ago to blowing up twitter with #MyUnrealMarriage a few nights ago, he just never seems to stop.

Latest sighting: his “Good, Giving, and Game” mnemonic being used to explain, and even inspire, serious sexual research, as reported in Psychology Today:

GGG is a term coined by sex columnist Dan Savage to represent the qualities that he thinks makes a good sexual partner. GGG stands for ‘good, giving, and game.’ Think ‘good in bed,’ ‘giving of equal time and equal pleasure,’ and ‘game for anything–within reason.'” We know from previous research that people who are more motivated to respond to their partner’s needs (high in communal strength) report higher relationship satisfaction and feel more intrinsic joy after making a sacrifice for their partner. But, do the benefits of being ‘giving’ and ‘game’ translate to the sexual domain of a relationship as Dan Savage would suggest?

In a recent study, myself and my colleagues explored whether being motivated to meet your partner’s sexual needs is good for yourself…
